The 150 grit size rough sharpening surface can be used to reshape chipped knives while the 600 grit size medium finishing surface can be used to sharpen dull knives. It can be used to sharpen household kitchen knives to cemented carbide. Reminder: Do not use oil as this might cause clogging. When clogged, clean with a brush and detergent.
